I tried to use the Ryzen Memory Calculator which when you flip between 2/4 DIMMs changes the termination resistances but I couldn't get it's values to work (either tweaking just the resistance or entering in all the values).

There is a column on the end of board compatibility table for 1/2/4 to keep an eye on Okay so I managed to get everything working These particular DIMMs (which are not on the recommended list for 4 DIMMs on the MSI website (which I wished I'd looked at first). When I've been testing it seems like the memory timings are very close to correct so I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on what to tweak manually to get this working? I assume more experience OC folks must have a if you add more memory tweak the voltage/termination or whatever rule of thumb. I'm just about to try testing overnight with all four memory sticks using the BIOS safe memory defaults but obviously I'd like to use the XMP settings instead. Memory is Corsair but I've bought from two different suppliers and it turns out the manufacturers are Samsug & Sk-Hynix although the Corsair part numbers (CMW16GX4M2C3200C16) are identical as is the XMP settings reported by HwInfo (the only difference is the manufacturer)

Windows Memory Diagnostic fails relatively quickly and Prime95 will give errors. I've got a MSI B550 PRO-VDH Wifi board and it seems work fine with the XMP settings and 2x8GB memory but when I add an extra 2 8GB sticks I'm getting occasional bluescreens and odd windows errors.
